Creativity is Ruth’s lifeblood. As a singer/songwriter her debut acoustic album, As I Breathe, released in August 2000, was acclaimed by music industry professionals for its passion, haunting beauty and originality. Inspired By, an album of cover songs – recorded 2000/2001 – was released in January 2016 and listeners have praised Ruth’s haunting, beautiful vocals and her original interpretations of these classic songs. More music from her archive will be released during 2017. With books as another lifelong passion, she is currently working on fiction projects in the psychological suspense and crime/thriller genre.
Ruth Nina Welsh is also a freelance writer specialising in self-help and wellbeing. Due to the progressive nature of her illness she has not been able to perform her music since 2002 and is now also homebound. Ruth adores opera, the arts, and her beautiful garden view – she works and writes from her bed and she is passionately creative.
